Need Cash After College? Just Move To One Of These 5 Locations

Specific areas are willing to give you cash just to move there. Find out where they are so you can start paying back your loans, put money towards your first home, or set up your financial future with ease.

If you need help right away, this relief program will direct deposit a short term loan into your bank account. Review the terms of this funding closely before accepting these funds.

Does free money exist? Beyond winning the lottery, you wouldn’t think so, but you can get it by merely relocating. Which places are dishing out the dough? Have a look:

1. Hamilton, Ohio

This small city just outside of Cincinnati is looking to boost its college-educated population. What’s their plan to attract such residents? Up to $10,000 in cash.

If you have a desire to become an active member of Hamilton’s community and fulfill the following requirements, an upcoming move to Ohio may be in the works:

  • You cannot currently reside in Hamilton
  • You must gain employment in Butler County (where Hamilton is based)
  • You must have a degree within the past seven years from a science, technology, engineering, arts, or mathematics program (STEAM)

If eligible and you decide to make the move, you will get 30 payments of $300, which is a nice chunk of change to get you on your feet post-graduation.

2. Niagara Falls, New York

You can put a big dent in your student loan debt by relocating to Niagara Falls. It’s home to one of the seven natural wonders of the world, and calling it your home could make you nearly $7,000 richer.

As long as you live in a specific neighborhood for two years, the city will pay up to $6,984 in student loan payments. That’s not a bad reward for living in such a scenic area.

3. Vermont

Vermont’s Remote Worker Grant Program will pay you to move anywhere in the state. Why? So it can attract professionals who prefer to work from home.

If your house doubles as your office, you know there are many expenses involved. Make the move to Vermont, and you get up to $10,000 ($5,000 per year for two years) to pay for those expenses.

4. Tulsa, Oklahoma

If Vermont is too cold for your liking, Tulsa, Oklahoma, may be more up your alley, especially if you work from home.

The Tulsa Remote program will pay you $10,000 to move your home-based office there. Here are the basic requirements:

  • You must be at least 18 years of age
  • You must be eligible to work in the United States
  • You must have a desire to live in Tulsa

If accepted, you will get more than just $10,000 towards your home office needs. In fact, you don’t even have to work from home since they’ll also give you a desk at a coworking space as a bonus.

Participants for the 2019 Tulsa Remote program have already been selected. You can sign up here for updates, however, to know when the application process opens for 2020.

5. Alaska

Oil royalties paid out to Alaskan citizens may not make you rich, but they will pad your pocket just a bit.

The Permanent Fund Dividend payout for 2019 is $1,606. If you lived in Alaska, you could have received this payment for merely being there. This program has been around since 1976 and shows no signs of stopping, so if you’re thinking of a move to Alaska, take advantage of it.
